Names
Ca. Phytoplasma pruni
Abstract
Herein, we report the draft genome sequence of “ Candidatus Phytoplasma pruni” strain ChTDIII (subgroup 16SrIII-B). The final assembly consists of 790,517 nucleotides organized in 67 contigs (minimal size, 1 kb), with a G+C content of 29.4% and encoding 672 proteins.

Complete Genome Sequence of “ Candidatus Phytoplasma asteris” RP166, a Plant Pathogen Associated with Rapeseed Phyllody Disease in Poland

Citation
Cho et al. (2020). Microbiology Resource Announcements 9 (35)
Names
Ca. Phytoplasma asteris
Abstract
The complete genome sequence of “ Candidatus Phytoplasma asteris” RP166, which consists of one 829,546-bp circular chromosome, is presented in this work. This bacterium is associated with rapeseed phyllody disease in Poland and belongs to the 16SrI-B (i.e., aster yellows) group.

Complete Genome Sequence of “ Candidatus Syntrophocurvum alkaliphilum” Strain B(2M), Obtained from the Metagenome of a Salt-Tolerant Alkaliphilic Anaerobic Syntrophic Butyrate-Degrading Consortium

Citation
Mardanov et al. (2020). Microbiology Resource Announcements 9 (6)
Names
Ca. Syntrophocurvum alkaliphilum
Abstract
A highly salt-tolerant and alkaliphilic syntrophic consortium that degrades butyrate under sulfate-reducing conditions was purified from a hypersaline soda lake in southwest Siberia. Here, we present the complete genome sequence of the syntrophic primary butyrate degrader in order to understand the molecular mechanisms of interaction between consortium members.

Draft Genome Sequence of “ Candidatus Arthromitus” UMNCA01, a Suspected Commensal Isolated from the Gut Microbiome of Commercial Turkey

Citation
Hedblom et al. (2020). Microbiology Resource Announcements 9 (4)
Names
Ca. Arthromitus
Abstract
“ Candidatus Arthromitus” UMNCA01 was recovered from ileal samples of commercial turkey poults and may have probiotic capabilities. The complete genome was determined using the Illumina MiSeq and HiSeq sequencing platforms. The complete genome consists of 1,631,326 bp and has a G+C content of 26.14%, 1,540 coding sequences (CDS), and 37 RNA coding genes.

Genome Sequence of “ Candidatus Nitrosocosmicus franklandus” C13, a Terrestrial Ammonia-Oxidizing Archaeon

Citation
Nicol et al. (2019). Microbiology Resource Announcements 8 (40)
Names
Ca. Nitrosocosmicus franklandus
Abstract
“ Candidatus Nitrosocosmicus franklandus” C13 is an ammonia-oxidizing archaeon (AOA) isolated from soil. Its complete genome is 2.84 Mb and possesses predicted AOA metabolic pathways for energy generation and carbon dioxide fixation but no typical surface layer (S-layer) proteins, only one ammonium transporter, and divergent A-type ATP synthase genes.

Draft Genome Sequence of Desulfosporosinus sp. Strain Sb-LF, Isolated from an Acidic Peatland in Germany

Citation
Hausmann et al. (2019). Microbiology Resource Announcements 8 (29)
Names
Abstract
Desulfosporosinus sp. strain Sb-LF was isolated from an acidic peatland in Bavaria, Germany. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of the sulfate-reducing and lactate-utilizing strain Sb-LF.

Draft Genome Sequence of a Novel Marine Anaerobic Ammonium-Oxidizing Bacterium, “ Candidatus Scalindua sp.”

Citation
Ali et al. (2019). Microbiology Resource Announcements 8 (20)
Names
Ca. Scalindua Ca. Scalindua rubra
Abstract
A novel anaerobic ammonium-oxidizing (anammox) bacterium was detected in an upflow column reactor treating synthetic nitrogen-rich saline solution. Here, we assembled a 4.59-Mb draft genome sequence of this bacterium, identified as a member of the genus “ Candidatus Scalindua,” that has 84% nucleotide-level genomic similarity with the closest related anammox bacterium (“ Candidatus Scalindua rubra”).

Names
Ca. Serratia symbiotica
Abstract
“ Candidatus Serratia symbiotica” is a facultative bacterial symbiont of aphids that affects various ecological traits of the host insects. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of “ Candidatus Serratia symbiotica” strain IS, consisting of a 2,736,352-bp chromosome and an 82,605-bp plasmid, from the pea aphid Acyrthosiphon pisum .
