Description
Members of the family Rhabdochlamydiaceae have been found infecting arthropods, but can also thrive in amoebae and are moderately related to the Simkaniaceae (around 86% 16S rRNA sequence similarity). The family Rhabdochlamydiaceae is a sister family of the Simkaniaceae and contains a single genus, Rhabdochlamydia.
