Archaea that inhabit circumneutral, terrestrial geothermal systems and are likely hyperthermophiles. Genomes of this species lack annotated pathways for synthesis of membrane lipids, many amino acids, vitamins, and purines, suggesting they are likely to be symbiotic. Predicted to be obligately anaerobic and fermentative.
