Abstract Background Huanglongbing (HLB) is a major botanical pandemic of citrus crops caused by Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (Clas). It is important to understand the different mechanisms involved in interaction of pathogen with plants to develop novel management strategy against HLB.
